7 Students Bag St. Luke’s Med Education Grant

The St. Luke’s Medical Center Foundation Inc. has announced the names of seven students who successfully qualified to its Medical Education Grant starting Academic Year 2019-2020. They are: Mart Almer P. Medina (De La Salle – Lipa City), Sidney Christian Montas (UST -Legazpi City Albay), Annalyn Grace E. Pancho (MSU-IliganInstitute of Technology), Shaine Dominique C. Santos (UP Manila), AlvyVergara Toledo (Wesleyan University – Nueva Ecija). John Adrian B. Urbano (PUP Manila) and Karen S. Zulueta (UP Visayas – Bacolod City).

The seven new scholars were selected by the Foundation’s Scholarship Screening and Selection Committee from 28 shortlisted candidates from around the Philippines. They were chosen based on a set of economic and academic criteria and interviews.

The grant provides 100% funding for the books and tuition, laboratory miscellaneous and other school fees of students for the full medical education program at St. Luke’s Medical Center College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial (SLMCCM-WHQM).

SLMCCM-WHQM is consistently ranked by the Philippine Regulation Commission as among the top five medical schools in the Philippines. It is a leader in innovative medical education that pursues a unique system of academic and scholarship programs and continuously produces graduates who are primed towards specialization in the pursuit of excellent healthcare and world-class technology.
